03 · FAQ

Business Central questions, answered.

01How long does a Business Central implementation take?

A standard Business Central implementation takes 3 to 6 months depending on complexity. Simple financials-only deployments can go live in 8-10 weeks. Multi-module implementations with heavy customization may take 6-9 months.

02Can we migrate from Dynamics GP or NAV?

Yes. Business Central is the successor to Dynamics NAV, so migration from NAV is well-supported. GP migrations are also common - we use proven data migration tools and methodologies to move your chart of accounts, customers, vendors, items, and historical transactions.

03What does licensing cost?

Business Central uses per-user licensing with two tiers: Essentials (financials, supply chain, project management) and Premium (adds manufacturing and service management). We help you model the most cost-effective licensing mix for your team.

04Does Business Central work with our existing Microsoft 365?

Yes - this is one of BC's strongest advantages. Create and send invoices from Outlook, open BC data in Excel for ad-hoc analysis, collaborate on quotes in Teams, and use Power BI for dashboards. Single sign-on through Azure AD means no extra credentials.
